A RUGBY player was airlifted to hospital after colliding with another player and dislocating his knee.

The incident happened during an unofficial game between friends being played on Strawberry Fields, in Warsash, on Monday afternoon.

Passing PCSOs called for assistance from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, which landed due to the field’s remote location.
