HMS Victory will provide a unique backdrop as sailors perform Shakespeare at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

The Royal Shakespeare Company has teamed up with the Royal Navy Theatre Association for a three-night run of the comedy Much Ado About Nothing from July 18 to 21.

The play is about two sets of lovers drawn from a group of young men returning home from war.

But, in a modern twist, the men will be Royal Marines returning from Afghanistan.

Gates open at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £12, £10 for concessions, and can be bought at the Historic Dockyard visitor centre, by visiting historicdockyard.co.uk/tickets/ dockyardatdusk, or by calling the box office on 0844 880 5406.
