DIANE Couzens proudly completed the Race for Life in memory of her daughter.
Nicky Morrison, from Eastney, lost her battle with skin cancer four years ago, aged just 40.
It’s Diane’s fourth time taking part in the event.
‘I’m very proud that my daughter did so much for cancer research,’ she said.
‘If I can save one person then her life wasn’t in vain.
‘The Race for Life is marvellous. There are so many people here. I feel very honoured to be here really.’
Fighting back tears, Diane, 68, from Southsea added that her daughter would be proud of her efforts.
‘Nicky would be pleased,’ she said.
‘I do find it emotional but we are all here to help others.’
