LIFEBOAT volunteers will be holding their annual open day at the weekend.

The RNLI station in Ferry Road, Eastney, will be open on Sunday from 11am to 3pm.

There will be a series of family activities, a live band, and rescue demonstrations throughout the day.

The coastguard helicopter is due to give a display at around 2pm.

The Bembridge all-weather lifeboat will enter the harbour at around 12.15pm.

And the lifeboat station’s Atlantic 85 and D-Class lifeboats will take part in a number of formation exercises and rescue demonstrations throughout the day.

There will also be a tombola, souvenir stands, a bouncy castle and a number of prizes up for grabs in an RNLI 
raffle.
