POLICE investigating a fatal car accident in Goodwood, have renewed an appeal for witnesses.

At 3.30pm on Saturday, November 29, a black BMW M3 car crashed into a tree in Selhurstpark Road, close to Goodwood Racecourse, Chichester, before catching fire.

A man driving the car died at the scene. Because of his extensive injuries he has not yet been formally identified.

PC Shirley Ross, of Sussex Police Road Policing Investigations, said: ‘In particular, we are keen to speak to the driver of a dark green Land Rover Defender which was at the scene following the collision.

‘And we would also like to talk to the driver of a vehicle that we know was overtaken by the BMW on or near Selhurstpark Road.’
