POLICE are urging witnesses to come forward after a crash in Hilsea left a cyclist badly injured.

The 31-year-old woman received leg injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment after a collision between the bike she was cycling and a lorry, at the junction of London Road and Northern Parade, in Hilsea.

Her injuries were not life-threatening.

As previously reported, the lorry involved was driven by a 50-year-old man from Waterlooville.

It happened just after 7.40pm on Thursday.

Investigations are continuing and police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to the crash outside the News Centre.
