FIVE apprenticeships are being offered by two councils.

People of all ages who may be out of work or looking to start or change career will soon be able to apply for five apprenticeship roles across Havant Borough and East Hampshire District councils.

The roles are in various departments, including the eco-town team, coastal partnership, economic development, operations technician’s team, parking and traffic management and arboriculture.

Tim Slater, executive head for economies and communities, said: ‘We are delighted to offer these apprenticeship roles.

‘We hope it will encourage local businesses to get involved and offer apprenticeship opportunities for local people too. An apprenticeship is a great way to get started on a career path and an opportunity to develop skills and build confidence and self-esteem.’
