AN ARTIST who specialises in painting exotic animals will return to exhibit at a Portsmouth hospital next month.

Val Carter is a long-term member of the Fareham Art Group, where she is a tutor, and she also exhibits at Marwell Wildlife Park.

Her work is so popular that the League of Friends at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, has invited her back to show her work in their coffee shop on B-level.

The exhibition run from August 5 until September 1 and is open from 10am to 4pm from Monday to Friday and 1pm to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The friends will also have a stall at the Southwick Show, Southwick, near Fareham, on August 4.

It will include stationery, jewellery and greetings cards created by local artists.
