MARINE artist Bill Bishop is donating the profits from the sale of one of his paintings to a charity for seafarers in need.

The artist is donating the profits made from The Approach To Trafalgar, picttured above, to support the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society.

Mr Bishop, who grew up in Portsmouth and began sketching and making models while sailing on his father’s boats, said: ‘I hope the sale of this painting will make a significant difference to retired seafarers in need.’ The painting, priced at £1,250, is on show at the Oxmarket Centre of Arts, East Street, Chichester, until April 2 and will be sold when the exhibition ends.
