A GALLERY is opening to the public for an annual open studios weekend.

More than 40 members of Art Space Portsmouth are taking part in the event.

Visitors will be invited into studios, and can talk to artists and view works on display.

A spokesman said: ‘Art Space has managed studios for artists at the converted chapel on Brougham Road for over 30 years. Each year, the public are invited to meet the artists, to see and hear about their work and buy directly from them.

‘Visitors will be invited into over 30 artists’ studios and workshops and view artworks on display in the Art Space Portsmouth exhibition space and around the building.’

‘Also, people can enjoy refreshments in the Art Space urban garden.’

The free event is at Art Space in Brougham Road, Southsea, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm on May 26 and 27. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
