Ashes are scattered

THE ashes of a respected boat builder have been scattered in Fareham Creek.

Family of Jack Chippendale and more than 40 of his friends and ex-employees from Fareham firm Chippendales watched the ceremony on Sunday at Fareham Sailing and Motor Boat Club House.

He was awarded an MBE for his services to boat building in 2010 before he died aged 87 in February 2012.
