IT IS not a sight you usually see on Halloween.

But people were unpacking their summer wardrobe to pull on their shorts again as the unseasonably warm weather refuses to go away.

Yesterday was the warmest Halloween on record with temperatures reaching 20C in this area.

In Kent, temperatures reached 23C beating the previous record of 20C which was also in Kent.

Five-year-old Joseph Stevens was happy to be soaking up the sunshine with an ice lolly as October came to an end.

Joined by his grandfather Steve Horne, the pair stopped for a break during their bike ride along Stokes Bay.
