Baby locked in car is rescued by firefighters from Southsea

FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue a baby after it became trapped inside a car yesterday evening.

A team from Southsea Fire Station was alerted to the incident shortly before 5pm.

The parents of the baby were unable to free the child after it became locked in the car, which was parked in Portchester Road, North End .

It took firefighters just over half-an-hour to eventually free the youngster from the vehicle.

The team from Southsea left the scene at 5.40pm.
