The Rowans Hospice shop in Bishop's Waltham High Street re-opened on Friday

A CHARITY shop which was forced to close after flood damage has re-opened, raising over £400 in the first two hours.

The Rowans Hospice shop in High Street, Bishop’s Waltham had been shut since the beginning of November, following a heavy rain storm which blocked drains around the premises, leaving the shop in ruins.

But yesterday it finally re-opened to the public.

Vanessa Gilding, trading manager, said: ‘It’s absolutely fantastic to be back. There have been plenty of smiling customers and many saying that they had been waiting for us to open to bring donations down.’
