MUSIC fans can look forward to an afternoon of a variety of music.

Artists performing this Sunday are Indie band, New Dessert Blues, who will be supported by Kassassin Street and Murdoch and The Planes.

The acts will be performing at the Bandstand in Southsea common, on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.

The Bandstand’s summer events kicked-off with the 1950s rock ‘n’ roll-themed music, which got people of all ages up on their feet dancing.

Famous Jive and Swing band The Jive Aces performed supported by Stardust.

Toni Prima daughter of the famous American trumpeter Louis Prima, who played with The Jive Aces, attended the event.

She said: ‘The Jive Aces is the most dynamic and talented band I’ve seen in many years.

‘I am a huge fan.’

Every Sunday until August 25, people can look forward to live music at the Bandstand.
