Now in its sixth year, Wave 105’s annual Cash for Kids charity auction is aiming for its biggest donation to date.
Listeners will be able to bid on a list of unique prizes via the radio station’s website from October 2.
The News has teamed up with Wave 105 Cash for Kids to offer one winner the opportunity to become a ‘sports hound for the day’.
The winner will shadow a reporter and get a real taste of the world of journalism.
The lots will be available online for the best part of a week, giving people the opportunity to browse and place their bids, before closing on-air at hourly intervals the following Thursday, October 8.
Wave 105 Cash for Kids charity manager Gloria Hill said: ‘The charity auction is a key event in our diary every year. In 2014 our listeners, bidders and supporters helped to raise more than £35,000 through the auction.’
Businesses from Waterlooville, Horndean and Fareham have also donated prizes, which will all go under the hammer. A full list will appear on wave105.com/pages/wave-105-charity-auction-2015/
