FIREFIGHTERS went to Buckland to tackle a commercial wheelie bin on fire.

Rubbish inside the metal container caught fire shortly before 11pm on Sunday.

A crew from Southsea went to Hertford Place and put out the blaze within 10 minutes.

The cause of the fire was not known. At about 3.40am yesterday the same crew went to Portsmouth Outdoor Centre, off Eastern Road, after a fire alarm went off.
