THIS daffodil was snapped by a surprised dog walker as he went along the seafront.

Neil Dunn, 45, was with his wife Rachel, 47, walking along Stokes Bay in Gosport when they saw the flower, which had survived the wind and rain of recent days.

He said: ‘It was the best thing we’d seen all day.

‘Considering the weather we weren’t expecting to see anything out there. It was nice.’

The pair were walking their four-year-old cocker spaniel Roxy on Tuesday.

Neil, of Elgar Close, in Alverstoke, added: ‘It was more than I was expecting.’
