ONLOOKERS were surprised to spot these stunning daffodils amid the height of winter.
The bright spring flowers have sprung up on Concorde Way, Segensworth, in reaction to the unusually mild January weather we have been experiencing.
Recordings taken by the Met Office this week show an average maximum temperature of 9C to 11C throughout the south.
During the same time last year the average maximum temperature was only 6C to 8C.
Charlie Powell, from the Met Office, said: ‘It has been exceptionally mild this week, and over the whole of the Christmas period.
‘This highlights the ever changing weather we have here in Britain, from one year to the next.’
