DRESSING in blue and making Pompey shields out of coins is how children ata primary school celebrated Blue Day.

Portsdown Primary School, Sundridge Close, Cosham, embraced Blue Day by wearing blue clothes.

The children also learnt about Blue Day and the Tom Prince Cancer Trust.

Vicki King, teacher, said: ‘It is an absolutely fabulous day and it is important to teach the children about charity.

‘We’ve raised about £350 so it’s been a good day and effort by the staff bed students’
