The Kings Theatre, in Southsea, ended their afternoon performances with a collection for the Tom Prince charity.
The theatre, whose staff in blue, put up Blue Day posters at the entrance after afternoon showings of Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom.
Promotions manager Sandra Smith, who helped to raise more than £100, said: ‘I think it’s fantastic that the whole of Portsmouth is involved.
‘There’s a real fun element and I think that comes through.
‘We’re a community theatre, and this is a community event, so helping out with Blue Day makes sense.’
