THE body of missing pub landlord Malcolm Levesconte, who went missing from a Portsmouth ferry, has been recovered from the English Channel.

Wiltshire Police were contacted by Kent Police after the 59-year-old’s body was discovered four miles from Dover on 24 December.

Mr Levesconte who ran the Royal Oak pub, in Shrewton, near Salisbury, disappeared on 9 December after he took a ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo, France, but disappeared en route. Police were originally looking for the landlord after £30,000 disappeared from the pub’s Christmas fund.
