HUNDREDS of people visited a summer fete in aid of Stubbington Ark.

John and Olive Wyatt opened their garden in Seafront, Hayling Island, to host the event to raise money for the Ark, based in Ranvilles Lane, Fareham.

There was an abundance of stalls with jewellery, perfume, household items, clothing, bric-a-brac and a raffle, all in aid of the RSPCA centre.

Organiser Sandra Deaville, 53, of Aubrey Close, Hayling Island, got her dog from the animal centre.

She said: ‘They do such amazing work at the Ark, but it costs £2,500 a day to keep it open. They need all the help they can get to raise that, and we wanted to do our bit.’
