AN EIGHT-year-old boy needed help from the fire service when he got stuck up a tree.

The lad had been playing with friends in a park in Prince Albert Road, Southsea, at 4pm yesterday. He climbed a tree, but was unable to get down.

One crew from Southsea fire station was called to help.

Firemen used a ladder to bring the boy down to safety.
