WITH less than a week till the boys brigade starts up after its summer break, one group is after more members.

The 4th Portsmouth Boys Brigade meets every Wednesday and is calling for more members for when it starts its next term.

It will be meeting on Wednesday at the North End Baptist Church in Farlington Road and is calling on more boys to get involved.

Alex Bearne, leader of the group, said: ‘We’ve had some meetings to discuss ideas for the coming sessions and we’ve come up with an array of games, activities and future weekends to ensure that the boys get the most out of the group. A new year means a new adventure, with new challenges, new possibilities and new friends.’
