Phoebe McCallan,14, of Widley, performed a comic dance she learnt just 10 days ago for the Woking Dance Festival.
‘I think it went really well’ she said. ‘Britain’s Got Talent doesn’t do much musical theatre so I hope that will change this year and that I will do well.
At the front of the queue was eight-year-old Briony Way, from Locarno Road, Copnor, Portsmouth, who wanted to impress the judges with her tap dancing skills.
She said: ‘I’ve been dancing since I was two-and-a-half but this is the first time I’ve done anything like this.’
