SUPPORTERS of a children’s charity gathered to boost its coffers.
Ambassadors for the Rainbow Centre in Fareham were at the Bishop of Portsmouth Christopher Foster’s garden for a bubble-themed party last night.
Sarah Guild, from the charity, said: ‘The evening was lovely. It was a real honour to be in the Bishop’s garden.
‘He was a fabulous host.’
The bishop has opened up his garden to a number of charities this week.
The Rainbow Centre cares for children with cerebral palsy and other motor skill problems as well as adults who have Parkinson’s disease or suffered a stroke.
Earlier this year it launched a crisis appeal after needing £150,000 to keep running.
It has now broken that, raising £170,000 so far.
