THEY normally run our buses, but this weekend they’ll just be running.

First Hampshire business performance director Chrissie Bainbridge, pictured, and Portsmouth bus driver Helen Berry are taking part in Sunday’s Great South Run to raise money for charity.

Ms Bainbridge, from Portchester, is raising money for the Dyspraxia Foundation and Ms Berry for Epilepsy Action.

Ms Bainbridge said she was inspired to run by her cousin Joe, who suffers from dyspraxia – a condition which includes poor co-ordination, language, social and behavioural impairments.

She said: ‘So little is known about the condition and how best to treat it but the foundation does marvellous work in supporting people like Joe, who face huge challenges in living independent lives, and who suffer exploitation and misunderstanding so often as a result.’

Ms Bainbridge’s donation page is at justgiving.com/ChrissieB4Joe and Ms Berry’s is at justgiving.com/Helen-Berry5.
