NEW homes on the site of the former Gales Brewery in Horndean are taking shape.
The construction of 60 homes has begun by Linden Homes.
The development, called Old Brewery, is now open to the public so that visitors see what the homes will look like.
The first phase will be made up of 19 homes – 13 houses and six apartments.
The second phase will include 21 houses and 20 apartments.
The first properties should be ready by the spring.
Mark Docherty, Linden Homes’ sales and marketing director, said: ‘I think these homes are eagerly anticipated, so it’s very exciting to be able to open the marketing suite.’
The iconic brewery tower has remained in the development and is currently in the process of being repaired and restored. The development will also have an area for retail.
