GENEROUS shoppers have made the iPad 4 the top selling item at John Lewis at Home in Chichester this Christmas.
The retailer has released its top 10 gifts for 2012, which also includes Lego, a teddy bear, and a create your own gingerbread house.
But topping the list is Apple’s newest tablet computer, which costs £449.
Chris Hallam, the store’s gift department manager, said: ‘Gifts that entertain, engage and inspire are topping people’s wish lists this year.
‘Gift buying for the family is the priority for most of our customers now and technologically-based gifts will be huge again this year alongside a growing demand for classic gifts.’
