Boats will have valet parking
AN innovative boat storage centre in Portchester has added another string to its bow.
Marine entrepreneur Jonny Boys has added valet fuelling to the services at Trafalgar Wharf, which is the UK’s biggest indoor drystack.
It was launched last year and stores small craft such as RIBs and motorboats in a stack.
The facility also boasts the biggest forklift truck in the south, which gets the boats off the upper stack levels.
Mr Boys said: ‘Hundreds of boat owners know how convenient the indoor Drystack is. We asked if there was anything more we could do for our boat owners. The one thing that came up was taking away the hassle of refuelling.
‘So we decided to launch valet refuelling. We refuel boats and all payments are automated – no cash required, no time wasted, the boat is at the pontoon always refuelled.’
