A VIRTUAL careers fair is being run online by Jobstoday, part of Johnston Press, which owns The News.
The idea behind it is to provide a way for businesses and job seekers to find each other without trawling around lots of fairs.
The site includes chat and video technology, to help give jobseekers a better idea of what a firm is looking for.
The virtual careers fair is taking place until March 1 at virtualcareerevent.com/jtuk
Joanne Harwood, group category manager at Johnston Press, said: ‘The virtual stands provide lots of information to help candidates decide whether the company is right for them and to give them a better feel for the role.’
