DRIVERS are being warned to expect delays heading north from the Rudmore roundabout in Portsmouth.
For the next four weeks, work is being done to install environmental barrier fencing alongside the northbound slip-road to reduce noise for residents of Whale Island. A lane will be closed to keep workers and drivers safe.
The lane closure will take place between 7.30am and 4pm.
Simon Brownlie, Portsmouth City Council’s traffic and network manager, said: ‘It’s great that we’re able to do this work for residents but unfortunately it will mean some disruption heading north from Rudmore roundabout.
‘Drivers should expect delays and where possible use alternate routes. We’re doing everything we can to minimise disruption to traffic and are very grateful for everyone’s patience.’
