A TRIAL order designed to make Fareham’s West Street precinct more pedestrian-friendly becomes permanent today.
Under the order, brought in by Fareham Borough Council, bike-riders are banned from the precinct between 9am and 5pm.
And it also bans vehicles from using the pedestrianised area except for loading between 6am and 9.30am and 4.30pm and 7pm
Anyone ignoring the order faces an on-the-spot penalty.
