Firm to celebrate silver anniversary at city’s top spot

AN expanding company will celebrate 25 years of success with a celebration at the top of Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower.

McAndrew Martin, a Portsmouth-based firm of chartered surveyors, engineers, architects and designers, will mark its silver anniversary with a gala celebration at the tower.

The evening will also include fundraising for charity Help for Heroes.

Managing director Bill McAndrew said: ‘We are looking forward to celebrating our 25th anniversary in style at the Spinnaker Tower and to thanking everyone who has supported our business over the years.

‘It will be a great night with 200 guests, including faces old and new, as well as the chance to raise funds for a very worthy cause.

‘After 25 years, our experienced team have helped thousands of satisfied customers and we look forward to providing an even greater service moving into the next 25 years.’

Highlights of the past quarter-century have included Princess Anne opening an Indoor Riding School at the Peter Ashley Activity Centre at Fort Widley in 1995, which was designed by McAndrew Martin.

Mr McAndrew has also won the Personality and Achievement of the Year at The News’ Business Awards.

The firm has seen a 45 per cent increase in survey work as the property market improves.
