THE first of 12 ocean racing yachts taking part in next year’s Clipper Race has arrived in Gosport.

Hamble naval architect Tony Castro has designed the new fleet, which will sail in the 40,000-mile Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.

Race founder Sir Robin Knox-Johnson said: ‘We are pleased to have taken delivery of the first boat and looking forward to completing our company trials in home waters.’

Fareham transport firm PSP was in charge of moving the Clipper 70 from China, where it was made.
