AN event to showcase the opportunities for apprentices in the region is being held in Portsmouth on Thursday.
The free event is being organised by the National Apprenticeship Service ahead of National Apprenticeship Week next week.
It takes place at Fratton Park, and will begin at 8am with a breakfast event for employers to find out more about the benefits of taking on apprenticeships.
Booking for that can be made by emailing apprents@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
Then there will be a drop-in event for young people, parents and carers between 3pm and 6.30pm to learn more from employers and training providers, meet apprentices and get hands-on experience.
