A GALLERY has almost doubled the number of visitors at the start of the year.
Gosport Gallery saw an increase of 99 per cent in the number of people through its doors in January.
It comes as Hampshire County Council celebrated 100,000 visitors at Milestones Museum in Basingstoke.
Councillor Keith Chapman, in charge for Culture and Recreation said: ‘We are recording that around 35,000 are visiting Hampshire’s museums each month.’
