Havant enterprise day is a success

YOUNG people at a Havant school were given the chance to design their own app that solves everyday problems, before presenting their ideas to experts.

Year 8 students from Warblington School were mentored by business volunteers including up-and-coming app designer, Gary Smith, inventor of the award-winning ‘Dyslexia Toolbox’ app.

The day was organised by the Portsmouth & South East Hampshire Education Business Partnership as part of the Innovating for the Future initiative.

Jess Memery, new business manager at the education business partnership, said: ‘This was a fantastic opportunity for students to meet inspiring business people and find out what skills they need to be successful. Asking students to design an app made the brief relevant and exciting for them and they came up with super ideas.’
