A hairdressing salon has been ‘named and shamed’ by the government for paying staff below the minimum wage.

Zoom, in Park Parade, Leigh Park, is on a published list of 25 firms investigated by HMRC and found owing more than £43,000 to workers.

Mike Joines, the owner of Zoom, was fined for underpaying three people £242.28.
