A MARINE dealership in Chichester Marina has been appointed to represent one of the biggest leisure boat builders in the world, French firm Beneteau.
Opal Marine is now celebrating the coup.
World-famous boat builder Beneteau, most famous for its sailing yachts, is the biggest manufacturer of leisure boats in the world and to date has built more than 36,000 powerboats.
Opal Marine will now sell Beneteau’s range of outboard-powered boats, which include the Antares, Barracuda and Flyer models – all packaged with Suzuki outboard motors.
The dealership recently took a delivery of its first boats, which are now available to view.
In addition to Beneteau powerboats, Opal Marine also stocks Brig RIBs, which range from 2m to 7.8m in length.
Opal Marine says its team is able to tailor ‘ready to sail packages’ on all of these products.
The firm says its packages make it easier than ever for customers to get out on the water.
Opal also has an aftersales servicing and engineering workshop to make sure it has got every aspect of boating covered.
Company director and engineering manager James Fordham said: ‘The company has grown steadily over the past few years, based on the success of our brokerage business.
‘With the addition of the in-house engineering and new boat sales elements to our customer offering, we are proud to represent global brands such as Beneteau and Suzuki.
‘Working in partnership with these two premium brands we are bringing quality outboard-powered boats to the local market.
‘Beneteau’s Antares and Barracuda range are ideal for family cruising or leisure fishing on the south coast so we are confident that they will prove to be popular with boaters heading out on the Solent or beyond.’
