New group wants to help build relationships

A NETWORKING group which looks to bring together women who work in the construction industry has been launched.

Solent Ladies in Construction (SLinC) aims to support and promote women working in the property and construction industry across the Solent region.

The launch event featured guest speaker Lizz Clarke, managing director of Fareham firm Logical Creative Marketing.

The launch event was hosted by Coffin Mew LLP at 1000 Lakeside in North Harbour.

SlinC founding member Dee O’Neill, from Wates Living Space, said: ‘The launch event was really exciting and the group already has over 70 members, with a good cross-section from industry, including contractors, consultants, subcontractors and entrepreneurs.

‘We want SLinC to be a forum for women working in the industry which they can use for training, advice, support and to maximise business opportunities.’
