New Hovertravel commuter service to Southsea
AN extra hovercraft is being added for early morning commuters travelling from Ryde to Portsmouth.
The extra service will leave at 8.30am and is run by Isle of Wight firm Hovertravel, which says it is reacting to commuter demand.
Neil Chapman, managing director of Hovertravel, said: ‘We are always listening to the needs of customers so we can ensure that our services suit their schedules.
‘Feedback over the last month has revealed that an extra service during the morning commuter peak period would make a big difference to our Island commuters.’
The firm says it has seen its services being used increasingly during the past six months, in particular between 7.15am and 8.45am.
