Pompey hearing will resume tomorrow

POMPEY’S court hearing has been adjourned until 2pm tomorrow.

Mr Justice Sales agreed to postpone the hearing between Pompey administrators PKF and Portpin.

It came after nearly an hour and a half of discussions between the two parties.

The hearing was previously adjourned for an hour at the request of PKF’s legal representative Katherine Holland after she said issues had arisen over the proposed transaction of firm REL as part of the Pompey Supporters’ Trust bid to take over the club.

In the second half of the hearing, Katherine Holland told the court: ‘I’m happy to tell you those (discussions) have resulted in considerable progress.’

She requested that the hearing be adjourned until 2pm tomorrow.

Mr Justice Sales replied: ‘I wanted to understand what you think is going to happen at 2pm tomorrow.

‘We had two days set aside for cross examination of expert witnesses.

‘But if we come back 2pm tomorrow there is not the time to get through that and I want you to understand that.’

Ms Holland replied: ‘I understand that and wouldn’t want to abuse the court in that way at all.’

Mr Justice Sales concluded: ‘It seems to be more desirable for parties talking to each other and seems to me the most likely and most positive way forward for the football club and the parties.’
