THE first apprenticeship scheme carried out by Wiggle has been hailed as a success.

So much so that the online sporting goods firm, based in Portsmouth, will be hosting two more courses this year.

Seven young people underwent an apprenticeship in warehousing and logistics, and have now found jobs within the company.

Wiggle’s human resources manager Jenny Strudwick said: ‘This was our first-ever apprenticeship scheme and we are over the moon with its success. Well done to the seven apprentices that have now joined us.

‘We will be running the apprenticeship again later this year.

‘And we will also be taking people on for a new customer services course.’
