Power cut hits West Sussex homes

ABOUT 2,500 households lost electricity after a power cut.

Homes across Chichester were affected after a fault on a high voltage cable, just after 9.30am today.

Power was restored about 40 minutes later but affected homes in Bosham, Apuldram, Fishbourne, Westgate and parts of Chichester town centre.

A spokeswoman for Southern Electric apologised to customers.
