Refurbished shop will be getting celebrity treatment

A NEWLY-refurbished shop in North End is set to go under the gavel of TV’s Homes Under the Hammer auctioneer Rob Marchant.

The freehold property at 153 London Road is among 20 lots being sold by Clive Emson land and property auctioneers at the Rose Bowl stadium, near Hedge End, at 11am on Tuesday, February 21.

Mr Marchant, who appears on the BBC’s auction series, said: ‘With interest rates at 300-year low, canny investors continue to plough cash into competitively-priced property in order to get better returns over the years ahead through letting. We anticipate another fantastic auction.’

The ground floor commercial unit, which comes with a two-bedroom flat let at £14,140 a year, has a guide of £140-150,000.
