SUPERMARKET staff are taking part in an initiative to educate primary school children about where food comes from.
The nationwide scheme, called the Tesco Eat Happy project, is running Farm To Fork trails in stores.
The trails, which are interactive sessions, help primary school children understand more about their food.
Chloe Carr is the Farm to Fork co-ordinator in the Fareham store, in Quay Street.
She invited all schools, clubs and community groups to get in touch to organise a trail.
Miss Carr said: ‘If children are not able to get to the store, don’t worry we can arrange for a colleague to visit your school or club instead plus you can find a set of curriculum links, age-appropriate lesson plans, recipes and how to videos at tesco.com.’
The Farm to Fork trails are taking place in the Fareham store every Tuesday and Thursday from midday until 2pm.
