THE launch meeting of the Portsmouth Mumpreneurs Networking Club has been hailed a success.
As previously reported in The News, Widley business owner Sarah Pilbeam is running the once-a-month networking club after visiting a similar group in Emsworth.
She said: ‘The launch went brilliantly – really, really well.
‘We had more than 20 people come along and it was a successful meeting.’
The idea behind the club is to provide a place for business women to meet and make the contacts that can help their firms grow and become more successful.
The meetings are held in the mornings at a time to suit most working mums and dads.
Traditionally most networking groups meet either at breakfast time or in the evening, when busy mums and dads can’t make it.
That’s why the Portsmouth meetings will be typically held between 10am and 11.30am.
And that’s also why there are no meetings in school holidays.
After the next club meeting, on March 27, they will revert to being held on the first Wednesday of the month, from May 1.
