Waste treatment firm expands into the north
A FAREHAM waste company is expanding its operation to the north east.
The Cleansing Service Group (CSG) has acquired Middlesbrough-based Harpers Environmental Services Ltd, which specialises in the treatment of hazardous waste.
Harpers was bought out of administration.
CSG firm is a leading provider of total waste management services with one of the UK’s largest hazardous waste treatment and recovery capacities including an award-winning facility at Cadishead, Manchester.
It has its head office in Segensworth.
Managing director Neil Richards said: ‘This latest purchase is in line with our strategy of being able to provide a wide range of waste treatment and recycling facilities to customers in all areas of the UK.
‘The Harpers purchase is part of an acquisition programme which has seen CSG acquire four businesses over the past two years.
‘In these tough economic times we are also very pleased to be able to provide a continuation of service to Harpers’ 10 staff as well as its many customers.’
